Bitumen Flashing Tape AS-720

Bitumen Flashing Tape AS-720 from Alseal is a black bituminous compound consisting of a self-adhesive polymer-modified bitumen layer coated onto a tough high-density polyethylene film and covered by an aluminum foil.
It is an economical, cold-applied instant flashing tape that is ready to use to waterproof with outstanding durability. Bitumen Flashing Tape provides excellent adhesion, improved heat resistance, tear, and puncture resistance, and chemical resistance to chlorides, sulfates, alkalis, and acids.

Applications

• Protection: Asphalt, brickwork, concrete, fiber cement sheet, metal and plastic materials, roofs and covering, etc.
• Sealing & waterproofing: Glass & plastic windows frame, parapets, skylight structures, etc.
• Repair work: Metal and fiber cement sheet roofing, shing les, gutters and metal tube etc.

Usage instruction

1. The application temperature should be between 5 °C to 45 °C.
2. Unroll only the required length, and cut the tape to the desired length.
3. Place the tape on the area to be covered, and check whether they match with the profile of the marked substrate.
4. Remove the release paper and press it into position using fingertip pressure.
5. If necessary, use a seam roller to smooth over Bitumen Flashing Tape to ensure good contact is made.
6. Wet materi al an all tools and equipment may be cleaned up with white spirit.
7. The maximum durability is obtained when ambient as well as surface temperatures at the time of application and for a minimum of 36 hours after application is above 5 °C.
